– Observation
Vladimir Boyanov
Vladimir Boyanov is a Bulgarian architect with professional experience in Germany, Luxembourg, and Switzerland. His work spans architectural competitions, residential and public projects, execution planning, construction coordination, and project management across all major project phases.
Educated at the University of Applied Sciences Saarbrücken, his professional background combines architectural design with technical expertise, interdisciplinary collaboration, and a strong understanding of construction. Experience within the Swiss construction industry has shaped a methodical approach focused on quality, precision, and efficient project delivery.
These experiences form the foundation of AAAB – Atelier for Applied Architecture. The practice draws on knowledge gained across different planning cultures, construction methods, and professional environments to create thoughtful, context-driven architecture that balances creativity, technical precision, and buildability.
Driven by curiosity, observation, and continuous learning, AAAB aims to create architecture that is responsible, collaborative, and rooted in the unique qualities of every place.
– “The Architecture is the answer of one’s needs.”
AAAB
AAAB – Atelier for Applied Architecture is founded on a simple idea:
Architecture is not about repeating solutions. It is about applying knowledge.
Inspired by experiences across Europe, AAAB brings together different cultures, ideas, and ways of building to create architecture that responds to its place, its people, and its purpose.
Every project is an opportunity to observe, learn, and apply—transforming knowledge into architecture that is thoughtful, contextual, buildable, and enduring.
– Dialogue
Our Approach
At AAAB, every project begins with understanding its context. We believe architecture should emerge from the qualities of a place—its landscape, history, culture, and the people who shape it. Rather than applying a predefined style, we apply knowledge, experience, and ideas gathered across different countries, disciplines, and professional environments to develop solutions that belong naturally to their surroundings.
Our work is guided by a clear and collaborative process. Through research, dialogue, and continuous refinement, ideas evolve into architecture that is thoughtful, buildable, and responsive. Design is not the pursuit of a signature aesthetic, but the careful balance between creativity, technical precision, and the realities of construction.
Architecture is ultimately an act of creation. Every project is an opportunity to create places that enrich everyday life, strengthen communities, and contribute positively to the built environment. At the same time, architecture is about connection—between people and place, nature and the built environment, local identity and international experience.
We believe the best architecture is created through collaboration. AAAB welcomes partnerships with clients, developers, investors, and fellow architecture practices—whether contributing to competitions, supporting individual project phases, or developing projects from concept to completion. Every collaboration expands our understanding, bringing new knowledge to future work.
